The Porchlights are rolling back onto the café Roux stage – dust on their boots and trouble in tow… So best you get yourself to Noordhoek’s premier live music spot on Sunday, 30 August, for a night of darkly sardonic country.

The Porchlights hit like a shot of moonshine: smooth, raw, and a little dangerous. Think Dolly Parton, but after a whiskey bender. Jolie Holland, but with a secret vendetta. And yep, even some Bright Eyes – because who doesn’t love a little existential dread with their acoustic tunes?
Expect lyrical tales of love gone bad, longing for freedom, rehabbing after excess, fast cars and loose women (and men); all pulled from a box of wood and wire.
