4 Day Groot Winterhoek Mountain Hiking Adventure

The Groot Winterhoek Wilderness Mountain and Area, known for its rugged wild landscape and exceptional rock formations lies about 120km north of Cape Town, near Porterville. It is a World Heritage Site particularly important for protecting mountain Fynbos and wildlife.

Gantouw Tours and Excursions is looking forward to an exciting, fun-filled and educational guided hiking adventure in this exceptional wilderness area. This guided adventure will include interpretation of the area’s Fynbos Flora and Fauna and the region’s Geological Formations and their history. As part of the fun along the way guests we will have the opportunity to swim in the various mountain pools along the way.

For this 4-day adventure, and being a wilderness area, we will be sleeping out in the veld each night. Therefore, each participant will need to bring along a tent to sleep in.

Food for 4 days

Costs : R1800/person (Includes all conservation fees)
