This Provence style villa is set on the side of the mountain overlooking Gordon’s Bay Village and False Bay and the views are unforgettable. The mountain behind is a nature reserve – secluded, private, natural, peaceful and unspoilt. Gordons Bay is a beautiful village with 2 harbours, lovely restaurants & bars, blue flag beaches (3minutes) and only 15 minutes away to some of the oldest & most famous wine estates in the Western Cape.

The Yard offers comfortable accommodation in Gordons Bay and is situated within easy reach of the beach, numerous shops and plenty of restaurants. The accommodation comprises of three units and is ideally suited for holidaymakers, business travellers or overnight guests. The Bed in the Shed Unit is a renovated workshop and comprises of a double bed and an en suite bathroom. It is ideally suited for a couple or a single traveller. This unit is completely separate from the main house. The Vine Unit is situated at the front of the main house and comprises of two single beds and an en suite bathroom. It features a writing desk, making it ideal for business travellers or overnight guests. The Katze Dorm Unit is a dormitory, designed for families or friends, and caters for four people. Each unit provides tea and coffee making facilities and a plunger. There is ample parking on the property and linen as well as towels are supplied. Shared BBQ facilities are also available to all guests. This little haven of peace in a pretty garden setting is situated in the quiet residential area of Strand North. The property lies on the banks of the Lourens River overlooking Strand Golf Course and is a mere 5 minute walk from the beach and popular surf spot. The flat is a fully equipped self-catering unit, comfortably sleeping 2 people. A bathroom leads off the open plan living and kitchen area while the cosy sleeping quarters is up-stairs on a mezzanine floor. Safe parking is available on the property as well as DSTV and wi-fi.

Our guesthouse is very homely and has a lovely warm, welcoming, peaceful and relaxed atmosphere with a big pool in the middle of the property. We took ownership of the guesthouse in November 2016 and after a brief renovation opened our doors to guests in December 2016. Whether you’re visiting for business or pleasure our area has so much to offer: fantastic golf courses, stunning wine farms and world-class restaurants. Not to mention hiking in the Cape Nature Reserves and visiting the many pristine beaches in and around our area and Cape Town. Cape Town is a mere 30 min drive from our guesthouse. You’ll love and enjoy our beautiful area and we look forward to welcoming you!. We also offer a delicious breakfast included in your booking rate. Please note: Unfortunately we do not accept children under the age of 12.

Being closely situated to Vergelegen Medi-Clinic also makes Cork Tree Cottage an ideal overnight facility for those travelling from afar needing to be at Medi-Clinic for medical tests or to visit family or friends in the hospital.
